Divisional Round

This week, I'm putting my money where my typing fingers are. I'm gonna put down twenty bucks per game based upon my track record of prognosticating excellence.

Saturday
NO (+9.5) at SEA
M: NO. The Saints had a poor showing earlier this season in Seattle it now they have film and motivation. Saints definitely keep it a ball game to the final possession.
J: SEA. Windy, rainy conditions play right into the hands of the home team and that's right where 3 of Drew Brees passes will end up. New Orleans may score first but Seattle will respond early and often.
FINAL: Seattle 23-15. This is such crap. What a crap cover. Almost worse than Colston's throw.

IND (+7.5) at NE
M: IND. See above. Okay actually I don't know if they met before earlier this season. Buying think Colts will keep it close. Is Tom Brady so miraculous that he can singlehandedly keep the Pats a winner.
J: NE. It was last year when they played (in the playoffs) and New England barely won, 59-24. While it won't be a blowout, with a week to prepare the best coach in the league puts out a game plan that shuts down the Colts offense and lead the Pats comfortably into the second round.
FINAL: New England 43-22. Legarrette Blount. Remember this.

Sunday
SF at CAR (+1.5)
M: SF. The Newton train derails in Carolina. That made no sense. But typing on an iPhone means I'm gonna roll with it. Kinda like how Kaepernick is going to roll thru Carolina. This is the rare instance where I'm taking the west coast team and giving points to the home team. Going with experience.
J: CAR. No one rolled Carolina all year including the 9 points SF put up in Candlestick earlier in the season in a loss. Sure, Crabtree is back but the Carolina front 7 puts enough pressure on Kaep all game that he'll have no time to find any receivers. Cam makes the big plays late to win the game on his home field.
FINAL: San Francisco 23-10. Dominant 49ers. Loved this

SD (+8.5) at DEN
M: SD. The Chargers have out performed expectations and the Broncos are looking for an exclamation mark. Edit: chargers are on a roll. Changing my mind. Beat Chiefs twice plus broncos and Bengals to get to this point. Their players must be pumped. Hm. But Broncos have two weeks to prepare. I think I'll take points.
J: DEN. Yes, that's 4 disagreements and all home teams for the Joe's. All this talk about upsets is just what it is, talk. The Broncos make up for their only home loss of the season and look like the team that dominated defenses all season long in this double digit win.
FINAL: Denver 24-17. Crap crap crap crap cover.
