Week 2 Picks

Joe's Top 5
1 - Seattle
2 - Denver
3 - Philadelphia
4 - New Orleans
5 - Green Bay

Mike's Top 5
1. Seattle
2. Denver
3. Green Bay
4. San Francisco
5. Indianapolis

THURSDAY NIGHT
Pittsburgh @ (-2.5) Baltimore
Joe: BAL. As always, if they both could lose I'd be happy. In this case, a Ravens win can leave the Browns only a game out after they lose Sunday to the Saints. I don't think either team is any good but the Ravens use an emotional boost of 3 hours with talking about a former player to their advantage. It will still be a tight game and whoever Baltimore's kicker is will probably kick a game-winner.
Mike: PIT. I don't know why am picking Pittsburgh. Maybe it's because of all the turmoil going on in Baltimore.
Final: BAL by a bunch. I knew it.

SUNDAY
DET @ CAR (-2.5)
Mike: DET. Cam Newton's first game back and he's probably not ready.
Joe: CAR. Karma game for the Panthers after deactivating Hardy. Hard time believing the Lions can play 2 error free games in a row.
Final: CAR by 17.

MIA @ BUF (-1.5)
Mike: BUF. Uh-oh. The Browns have the Bills' first round pick. That pretty much guarantees a playoff spot for Buffalo.
Joe: MIA. Reality sets in on the Bills.
Final: BUF by 19.

 JAX @ WASH (-6.5)
Mike: JAX. 'Skins probably win but they're not good enough to blow out anybody.
Joe: JAX. Agreement from this side of the United States.
Final: WASH by 31.

 DAL @ TEN (-3.5)
Mike: TEN. I probably couldn't name three players on the Titans. Locker, Wright and Bruce Matthews?
Joe: DAL. Shonn Green, Bishop Sankey... I'm sticking with my belief that Dallas can outscore some teams, the Titans being one of them.
Final: DAL by 16.

 AZ (-1.5) @ NYG
Mike: ARI. It would be pretty funny to watch the Giants go 0-16. Would they draft a QB #1?
Joe: ARI. Only won't go 0-16 because of how terrible the Cowboys and Redskins are
Final: ARI by 11.

NE (-5.5) @ MIN
Mike: NE. Has Tom Brady ever lost consecutive games?
Joe: NE. I believe the Belichick/Brady combo is 148-0 after a loss. (numbers approximate)
Final: NE by 23.

 NO (6.5) @ CLE
Mike: CLE. I'm going with the Brownies to cover the spread. I bet the Saints will cover the punter fake this time around.
Joe: CLE. Opposite happens this week for Browns. Come out strong only to blow it in the 4th.
Final: CLE by 2.

 ATL @ CIN (-5.5)
Mike: CIN. Falcons will be a trendy pick after their big opening game but the Bengals will stand their ground.
Joe: ATL. I just can't believe in the Bengals.
Final: CIN by 14.

 STL @ TB (-5.5)
Mike: STL. Shawn Hill: 275 yards passing and 3 TDs.
Joe: TB. Hill isn't playing.
Final: STL by 2.

 SEA (-5.5) @ SD
Mike: SEA. No stopping the Seahawks this season.
Joe: SD. No upset here, but on the road the game stays close.
Final: SD by 9.

 HOU (-3.5) @ OAK
Mike: OAK. Derek Carr will be better than his brother. Kinda like your basketball career slightly eclipsed my tennis career.
Joe: HOU. I still remember you spiking that damn little green ball so it would go over the fence on the other side. But I also thought you were like 6'4'' at the time.
Final: HOU by 16.

 NYJ @ GB (-7.5)
Mike: GB. Uh oh. Jets are gonna get blown out.
Joe: GB. #freemikevick
Final: GB by 7.

 KC @ DEN (-11.5)
Mike: DEN. Pretty sure this spread could be 20 and I'd still pick Denver.
Joe: DEN. The Chiefs lost by 16 to the Titans... at home.
Final: DEN by 7.

 CHI @ SF (-7.5)
Mike: SF. Bears might be the surprise team of the NFC -- in reverse.
Joe: CHI. Dallas made SF look better than they are. Cutler made the Bears look worse than they are. Way, way too big of a spread here.
Final: CHI by 8.

MONDAY
PHI @ IND (-3.5)
Mike: IND. Andrew Luck is magic.
Joe: PHI. Mathis out for the year will not be good for the Colts. This game will be close to 80 total points.
Final: PHI. It's a big week for The Joe. 57 total points. That's ALMOST 80!

Week 2 Results
Joe: 10-6
Mike: 6-10
