Week 16 Picks

Thursday Night Football
TEN @ JAX (-3.5)
Joe: JAX. I hope I remember to not watch any of this game but I won't.
Mike: JAX. Totally forgot there was football tonight.
Final: JAX. Does anybody have confirmation that this game was actually played?

Saturday Christmas Season Football
SD @ SF (-1.5)
Mike: SD. Looks like the 49ers have mailed it in. SD 27-20.
Joe: SF. In Harbaugh's 2nd to last 49ers game, Kaepernick is back to his old tricks of a few years ago. SF 24-20.
FINAL: San Diego 38-35 OT. Well, when I returned home from watching the newly released updated version of Annie and saw the score 28-7, I felt stupidly confident. Phillip Rivers is secretly really good and this type of effort for the 49ers has to mean something about Harbaugh, right?

PHI (-8.5) @ WASH
Mike: WAS. Call me crazy but I think the 'Skins hang in there for Primetime. PHI 24-23.
Joe: WAS. Actually this is the first game of the day, but the Washington will still cover.  PHI 27-20.
FINAL: Washington 27-24. I think we both felt a little more confidence in RGIII than we probably should have, but we're just THAT good at picking games.

AND THE OVERALL RECORDS ARE SEPARATED BY 1 GAME GOING INTO SUNDAY OF WEEK 16!!!

Sunday Football
MIN @ MIA (-6.5)
Mike: MIA. I'm not sure if the Dolphins have a playoff chance but at least they're trying. MIA 27-13.
JOE: MIN. The Vikings are doing the opposite end of the season as the Browns. Does Beckham Jr/Bridgewater seem like 100% better picks than Gilbert/Manziel? Or basically any combination over the 2 choices the Browns made??? MIN 30-24, upset special.
FINAL: Miami 37-35. The old blocked punt for a safety in the last minute win.

GB (-10.5) @ TB
Mike: GB. Packers were humbled last week at Buffalo but bounce back with a 4 TD spread here. GB 41-6.
Joe: TB. Not sure the Packers defense is good enough for a double digit road favorite. Packers are also a below average 3-4 on the road this season. While the Pack win, Mike Evans will have a huge day against their secondary. GB 38-28.
FINAL: Green Bay 20-3. Mike was half-way to an almost perfect score. Joe was a garbage TD from a cover.

DET (-6.5) @ CHI
Mike: DET. There's no doubt about this one. Stupid Bears. DET 31-3.
Joe: DET. And I have the Bears D for my championship game, yay me. DET 34-7.
FINAL: Detroit 20-14. Maybe the Browns should look at Clausen in the offseason.  PS - how does Vegas know??

ATL @ NO (-5.5)
Mike: ATL. This isn't the Saints year. ATL 34-31.
Joe: ATL. Either way I hope this game scores a ton, GO MATT RYAN!!! FANTASY, FANTASY.... ATL 41-38.
FINAL: Atlanta 30-14. And the NFC South winner will be Atlanta or Carolina... under .500.

NE (-10.5) @ NYJ
Mike: NE. I bet Rex Ryan would love to wrap up his Jets career with a big win over the Pats but instead, this will be very ugly. NE 44-12.
Joe: NE. I really want to pick the Jets but I'm not sure how they score in this game. NE 33-9.
FINAL: New England 17-16. The one time I pick with my head over my heart.

KC @ PIT (-3.5)
Mike: KC. I still believe in Christmas. KC 20-17.
Joe: PIT. The Steelers give us Browns fans another s**t sandwich for Christmas and win the division next week. PIT 31-20.
FINAL: Pittsburgh 20-12. I hate them so, so much.

CLE @ CAR (-0)
Mike: CAR. The worst part is that both the Browns and Bills did just well enough to ruin the 2015 draft. CAR 24-9.
Joe: CAR. God, I hope we can at least score. CAR 27-13.
FINAL: Carolina 17-13. This was an overall awful, terrible game to watch. The Browns QB of next year is not on their roster at this point.

BAL (-4.5) @ HOU
Mike: BAL. Your 2015 AFC N champs... There is no good alternative. BAL 26-13.
Joe: HOU. Upset special #2, HOU 24-23.
FINAL: Houston 25-13. I should be 2-0 on upsets. At least Baltimore lost.

NYG @ STL (-4.5)
Mike: NYG. I really like your idea of RG3 going to STL next year. STL 20-17.
Joe: NYG. Did I really say that?? I'm in no mood to be doing research. NYG 20-19.
Final: NYG 37-27. You have a strange case of short term memory loss.

BUF (-6.5) @ OAK
Mike: BUF. Bills are high off last week's win over the Pack. BUF 14-0.
Joe: OAK. They're high from being in California for a couple days. I kinda like Derek Carr, don't tell anyone. OAK 17-16, upset special #3.
Final: OAK 26-24. Your upset specials are making me upset.

IND @ DAL (-3.5)
Mike: DAL. Doctor Jones says this year is different because Romo is healthy -- but he is playing with a BROKEN BACK!! DAL 34-27.
Joe: DAL. You keep mentioning the broken back like it's a bad thing. If anything, it helps Romo get the ball out quicker. The Cowboys clinch the division with a win, 35-31.
Final: DAL 42-7. Whoa. Andrew Luck just turned into Oliver.

SEA (-8.5) @ ARI
Mike: SEA. I never believed in Arizona and now they're struggling. SEA 35-10.
Joe: ARI. Way too many points, the Seahawks are no offensive juggarnaut. The Cardinals cover but Russell Wilson does Russell Wilson things to get the win. SEA 16-12.
Final: SEA 35-6. I finally got somewhat close on my score prediction.

Monday Night Football Finale
DEN (-3.5) @ CIN
Mike: DEN. Time for the Broncos to wake up and for the Bengals to drink some Reality Juice. DEN 41-17.
Joe: DEN. I hope its 85-0 Broncos. DEN 33-20.
Final: CIN 37-28. Bengals take over the AFC North. Oh well.

Going Into Monday Night:
Mike: 9-7
Joe: 10-6
