Joe: CLE. Back on the bandwagon again. They sucked me in last week. The Bengals have 3 DBs out which will help Hoyer earn his starting spot for the remainder of the season.
@POHeath, Guest Commentator: CLE. This is a battle between head and heart, the reality is the Browns offense is one dimensional, but they have a punchers chance. CLE can lose by a FG here. Oh Phil!
Final: CLEVELAND WINS! The outcome never in question, the Browns stymied the Bengals' running game and held A.J. Green in check. Browns 17, Bengals 6.
Baltimore (-3.5) @ Buffalo
J: BUF. I love picking with my heart over my head. I just dislike the Ravens very much and I think they're overrated.
Final: BUF upsets the ratbirds, 23-20. Five picks thrown by your Super Bowl MVP.
Chicago (+2.5) @ Detroit
J: DET. With Reggie Bush back the Lions roll up over 30 points and hand the Bears their first loss.
Final: DET 40-32. Hat tip to Joe. Lions scored plenty of points and Bush looked amazing.
Indianapolis (-8.5) @ Jacksonville
J: IND. After Indy ripped the 49ers last week, how can they not win by 20 over the Jags? This will be Richardson's breakout game for his new team. That equals more than 3.5 yards per carry.
@POHeath: IND
Final: IND 37-3. Richardson: 20 carries for 60 yards. For him, that is a breakout game.
New York Giants (+4.5) @ Kansas City
J: KC. Wow, the Giants are pretty terrible. Doubt it'll be 38-0 like last week but they sure look like 6-10 at this point. Then again, I'm playing KC's D in fantasy so it's looking to be a 42-38 game.
M: KC. Wow, how the mighty have fallen.
Final: KC 31-7. I can't believe how bad the Giants are so far this year. Crazy thing is, they'll still win their division.
Pittsburgh (-.5) @ Minnesota (In London)
J: MIN. Just keep losing all over the world. I don't care how it happens, just keep losing.
M: MIN
Final: MIN 34-27. Two continents. Zero wins for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Arizona (+2.5) @ Tampa Bay
J: ARI. There's got to be some bad stat about rookie QB mid-round picks starting in week 4, I just don't know it.
M:ARI
@POHeath: ARI
Final: ARZ 13-10. Charlie Frye probably knows the stat you speaketh of. (Although I guess he wasn't a rookie after that horrible opening game in '07.)
Seattle (-2.5) @ Houston
J: HOU. Seattle isn't going 16-0 so they have to have a setback somewhere. Meanwhile, they Texans could easily be 0-3 and have looked like crap. For a team with Super Bowl expectations, this is where they have to turn their season around.
M:SEA. I'm a Sealiever.
Final: ARZ 13-10. Charlie Frye probably knows the stat you speaketh of. (Although I guess he wasn't a rookie after that horrible opening game in '07.)
Seattle (-2.5) @ Houston
M:SEA. I'm a Sealiever.
Final: SEA 23-20. Joe finally misses a pick by the dreaded half-point.
New York Jets (+3.5) @ Tennessee
J: TEN. Give me the Jets opponent all season long. I wish they were in the AFC North so I could hate them a little more.
M:TEN
@POHeath:TEN
Final: TEN 38-13. There's no reason for you to hate the Jets. People in New York have it covered.
Dallas (-1.5) @ San Diego
J: DAL. No confidence in this pick just still going against the stink Norv left in SoCal.
M: DAL
Final: TEN 38-13. There's no reason for you to hate the Jets. People in New York have it covered.
Dallas (-1.5) @ San Diego
Final: SD 30-21. The star let us all down. I'm always surprised when San Diego wins.
Philadelphia (+11.5) @ Denver
J: DEN. Manning is just too good. We're closing in on the week Vick gets hurt.
Final: DEN 420-0. I'm sure that's how it felt to the Eagles. Note to self: Always take Denver and give the points.
Washington (-2.5) @ Oakland
J: WAS. Maybe if Pryor was starting I'd take Oakland. Did anyone ever think that sentence would be said?
M:WAS
@POHeath:WAS
Final: WASH 24-14. Did you actually say that line out loud? Maybe it's still never been said...
Sunday Night
New England (+1.5) @ Atlanta
J: NE. Sticking with old reliable in a primetime game. Gronk could be the difference in his return.
M:ATL
Final: WASH 24-14. Did you actually say that line out loud? Maybe it's still never been said...
Sunday Night
New England (+1.5) @ Atlanta
J: NE. Sticking with old reliable in a primetime game. Gronk could be the difference in his return.
Final: NE 30-23. No Gronk, no problem. Know Gronk, know problem.
Monday Night
Miami (+6.5) @ New Orleans
J: NO. Miami has been really good but a Monday night in the dome will bring them back to reality. Expect to see over 40 for the Saints.
@POHeath: NO
Final: NO 38-17. The only disappointment here was watching the Saints kicker miss a meaningless fourth quarter field goal that would have given me a fantasy win. Jerk!!!
Joe: 12-3; Mike: 7-8; @POHeath: 6-8
Final: NO 38-17. The only disappointment here was watching the Saints kicker miss a meaningless fourth quarter field goal that would have given me a fantasy win. Jerk!!!
Joe: 12-3; Mike: 7-8; @POHeath: 6-8
An Amazing Week for @theejomilla. Probably one of the best weeks one of us has ever had. Nice job.
