Week 9

Thursday Night
Cincinnati (-2.5) @ Miami
Joe: MIA. This is the anti-AFC North pick. With the mighty Cleveland Browns still having 4 division games left and Jason Campbell resembling a competent QB, every loss for a divisional opponent is a win for the Fightin' Chuds.
Mike: CIN. My first choice was the Dolphins until I saw the spread. Miami should be getting ten points, not two.
Final: MIA 22-20. Has another NFL game ever been decided by a safety in overtime?

Sunday Games
Atlanta (+7.5) at Carolina
Joe: CAR. Atlanta is one of the worst teams in the league, regardless of their quarterback.
Mike: ATL. Matt Ryan is better than this, regardless of who's around him.
Final: Carolina 34-10. Atlanta should have traded Gonzalez and gone for a top 3 pick.

Minnesota (+9.5) at Dallas
Joe: DAL. Dallas pulls away by throwing the ball to Dez. This win gets them back over .500 and a game closer to clinching the worst division in football.
Mike: DAL. The Vikings need more than an A-list running back.
Final: Dallas 27-23. What's with the NFC East??!!!?? Even with the winning drive, Romo will be talked about more for the INT he threw the possession before.

New Orleans (-6.5) at NY Jets
Joe: NO. My feelings on the Jets are well known.
Mike: NO. Jets were blown out last week and will probably be blown out again.
Final: New York Jets 26-20. Still hate the Jets. Jimmy Graham is a BEAST.

Tennessee (-2.5) at St. Louis
Joe: TEN. Each team that has played Seattle has lost the next week. Coming off Monday night, the Rams will continue this trend.
Mike: STL. This has got to be one of the worst weeks of the season. Even RedZone won't turn to this snoozer.
Final: Tennessee 28-21. Not much to report on this game except being the great fantasy manager I am, I started Locker over AFC Offensive Player of the Week Jason Campbell. (I still won)

Kansas City (-3.5) at Buffalo
Joe: KC. I'm less of a believer in the Tuel/Flynn QB combo for the Bills than you are in KC.
Mike: KC. Still not a believer in the Chiefs. But my beliefs are totally settled on what I think about Buffalo.
Final: Kansas City 23-13. Sure KC's offense didn't score a TD, I'd still take 9-0 over any alternate record. Fantasy spin - KC D was my greatest pick this year besides Jimmy Graham.

San Diego (+0.5) at Washington
Joe: SD. San Diego is better than we thought, while the Native Americans are way worse.
Mike: WASH. The Redskins usually put up one good quarter per game. And three bad ones. Hopefully one quarter is enough for this one.
Final: Washington 30-24. If Cleveland would have lost the way the Chargers lost this one, (20ish seconds left, first and goal from 1 inch line, down 3, 2 timeouts, settle for FG, give up opening drive TD in OT) it would have been tough to watch a game the rest of the year. Chud would've went for it on 4th down for the win.

Philadelphia (+1.5) at Oakland
Joe: OAK. When did the Eagles start flying high again?? Pryor is the one who's high... High on winning and being in the playoff chase. All the sudden the AFC West is the BEST division in football.
Mike: PHI. Eagles are back to flying high. Marcus Vick is just high. Wonder if Mike will be watching with his bro.
Final: Philadelphia 49-20. Foles 7 TD passes blah blah blah

Tampa Bay (+14.5) at Seattle
Joe: SEA. This line could be 20 and I'd take Seattle.
Mike: SEA. The Seahawks need a good butt whipping. I mean, one handed to them. But it won't be this week.
Final: Seattle 27-24. Down 21-0, of course the Seahawks win.

Baltimore (-2.5) at Cleveland
Joe: CLE. After they win this game, the Browns will be only a game out of first going into their bye week. Guess who's next, at the Bengals week 11 for a Battle of Ohio and a Battle for First Place in the AFC North.
Mike: BAL. I hope I live long enough to see the Browns favored more than 3 times a season.
Final: Cleveland 24-18. The long journey to the Super Bowl is beginning.

Pittsburgh (+6.5) at New England
Joe: NE. My feelings for the Steelers are well known.
Mike: NE. Until then, it's nice to see Pittsburgh labeled the underdog week after week. May their struggles continue for the next 20 years.
Final: New England 55-31. Second most satisfying result of the weekend, barely.

Indianapolis (-1.5) at Houston
Joe: HOU. I'm still rooting for that pick to improve...somehow.
Mike: IND. Funny how teams like Houston and Atlanta went from trendy Super Bowl pick to trendy top-five draft potential.
Final: Indianapolis 27-24. Down 21-3, of course the Colts won. Oh, and Trent Richardson sucks.

Monday Night
Chicago (+10.5) at Green Bay
Joe: GB. No Cutler, not enough offense to keep up with Rodgers and his practice squad replacement receivers.
Mike: GB. Normally I'd pick the Bears to keep it close but with Cutler out, this won't be pretty.
Final: Chicago 27-20. Uh Oh in Green Bay.

Week 9 Results
Joe: 6-7
Mike: 5-8
