Week 14 Picks

Well, we forgot to submit our picks for the Thursday night games so we're taking the games we took in our other, lesser important pick-em league.

Thursday night
Jacksonville (-6.5) at Houston
Joe: JAX
Mike: JAX
Final: JAX 27-20. No one watched or noticed. Browns move one spot closer to top of draft.

Sunday
Minnesota +6.5 at Baltimore
Joe: BAL. The Ravens will be the second wild card team and probably win the Super Bowl just because God Hates Cleveland.
Mike: BAL. I still think the Ravens will put it together for a playoff run. Jerks.
Final: Baltimore 29-26. 42 of the 55 points in the 4th quarter including 36 in the last 2:05 of the game, unreal.

Kansas City -3.5 at Washington
Joe: KC. Washington is almost as bad as Cleveland.
Mike: WASH. The Team from Washington is due for an unexpected win.
Final: Kansas City 45-10. It was 38-0 at half, I wish teams wouldn't take the pressure off when they get huge leads. Oh yeah, and RGIII is benched for the season. No big deal.

Buffalo +2.5 at Tampa Bay
Joe: TB. Tampa Bay would be a playoff contender in the AFC.
Mike: TB. I will not be picking Buffalo any more this year.
Final: Tampa Bay 27-6. One play I know from this game, Bobby Rainey (former Brown this season) broke an 80 yarder to start the game... Just like McGahee.

Miami -3.5 at Pittsburgh
Joe: PIT. Give me that half point!!!
Mike: MIA. It'll be nice to see the Stinkers mathmatically eliminated. Let the offseason college raping begin!
Final: Miami 34-28. I'll gladly trade a loss for a Steelers loss.

Detroit +2.5 at Philadelphia
Joe: DET. Stafford to Johnson. Rinse-Wash-Repeat
Mike: PHI. Chip Kelly better get Nick Foles something really nice this Christmas.
Final: Philadelphia 34-20. The game that was made for HD TV. Never seen so much snow on the field in my life. Awesome!

Indianapolis +6.5 at Cincinnati
Joe: CIN. This week I'm picking all AFC North teams not named Cleveland.
Mike: CIN. One week after pulling out the Bungals name, I'm jumping onto their bandwagon. Actually, I'm just rooting for the Colts to lose even though their division is pretty much wrapped up.
Final: Cincinnati 42-28. Another blowout loss for the Colts but still no confidence in the Bengals to win in the playoffs.

Cleveland +10.5 at New England
Joe: NE. Agree.
Mike: NE. The Browns could get 23.5 points and I still wouldn't pick them. 34-6 Patriots.
Final: New England 27-26. Horrible horrible loss but in the grand scheme of things if this gets them one spot closer to accidentally happening across their future franchise QB, I'm OK with it.

Oakland +2.5 at NY Jets
Joe: NYJ. I love the Jets.
Mike: OAK. Picking the Jets? See: Buffalo, above.
Final: New York Jets 37-27. I had a gross feeling in my stomach about this game. By the way, the Raiders rotated QBs, talk amongst yourselves.

Atlanta +3.5 at Green Bay
Joe: ATL. Green Bay is the Browns without Rodgers.
Mike: GB. I thought this would be the NFC Championship matchup. Bzzzt.
Final: Green Bay 22-21. Didn't see or hear about one play from this game. Somehow the Packers can still win the division and if they do with a healthy Rodgers, look out.

Tennessee +12.5 at Denver
Joe: DEN. I'm going against Manning in fantasy playoffs so hopefully he *only* throws 3 TD passes.
Mike: DEN. Broncos 42-20.
Final: Denver 51-28. You underestimated Peyton in the cold, so "stick it where the sun don't shine." PM

St Louis +6.5 at Arizona
Joe: STL. Seems like a 3 point game to me.
Mike: ARI. The yucko bowl.
Final: Arizona 30-10. Again, no idea what happened but I know Arizona is actually good.

Seattle +2.5 at San Francisco
Joe: SF. Vegas must know something we don't.
Mike: SEA. I don't understand why the Seahawks are getting points. They win by 2 touchdowns.
Final: San Francisco 19-17. Really?!?! Half point again

NY Giants +3.5 at San Diego
Joe: SD. Agree. Ohio State made me hate football.
Mike: SD. Honestly, I have no interest in this game. And not even really these picks right now.
Final: San Diego 37-14. San Diego, still in the WC hunt.

Carolina +3.5 at New Orleans
Joe: NO. Brees at home at night.
Mike: NO. Panthers probably want this game more than the Saints but I don't want to be subconsciously rooting against New Orleans.
Final: New Orleans 31-13. Crazy how good the Saints are at home. Just unstoppable, except against Mother Nature.

Monday Night
Dallas -1.5 at Chicago
Joe: DAL. Cutler is the Tony Romo of the Bears.
Mike: DAL. If Jay Cutler was back, my pick would be different.
Final: Chicago 45-28. When you don't force McCown to punt at any point in the game, you should have to forfeit your playoff position.

Week 14 Results
Joe: 9-7
Mike: 10-6
