Week 17 Picks

Week 17
Cleveland (+7.5) at Pittsburgh
Mike: PIT. If the Browns manage not to screw things up, they have a fine chance at the third overall pick in the 2014 NFL Player Selection Meeting. Pittsburgh needs the Ravens, Chargers and Dolphins to lose to get in. Knowing their luck, it'll happen exactly that way.
Joe: PIT. Would be no shock if everything went right for Pitts playoff scenario. Just more reason to hate them. What would be shocking is if both Campbell and Weeden don't play in this 45-17 laugher. At least we have the draft to look forward to.
Final: PIT 20-7.

Jacksonville (+11.5) at Indianapolis
Mike: JAX. I don't know if the Colts have anything to play for.
Joe: IND. Just for the fun of it.
Final: IND 30-10

NY Jets (+5.5) at Miami
Mike: NYJ. Rex's players still haven't given up on him.
Joe: NYJ. I hate this pick but reports are reporting from reporters that Rex is staying.
Final: NYJ 20-7.

Detroit (+2.5) at Minnesota
Mike: DET. Another disappointing season for the Stafford/Calvin combo.
Joe: MIN. Calvin is INACTIVE. Oh, and Stafford lost me my fantasy championship. Never again Matthew, never again.
Final: MIN 14-13.

Houston (+7.5) at Tennessee
Mike: HOU. There are so many of these games that I really don't give two ships about.
Joe: TEN. With Schaub back in for his last Houston start, he loses again.
Final: TEN 16-10.

Washington (+3.5) at NY Giants
Mike: NYG. It must really burn up Redskin fans knowing they gave up this pick to get RGIII. I'm wondering if the Browns should listen to offers on their top-five pick this spring.
Joe: NYG. There will be NO TRADING DOWN for the Brown... I Hope.
Final: NYG 20-6.

Baltimore (+6.5) at Cincinnati
Mike: BAL. Bengals will play hard but the Ravens are more desperate.
Joe: BAL. That's too many points. Windy and rainy makes for FGs.
Final: CIN 34-17.

Carolina at Atlanta (+6.5)
Mike: CAR. Way to go vetoing a trade out of Atlanta, Tony Gonzalez. I guess you'd rather be taking Spanish classes than playing in the playoffs. (That's right. Tony Gonzalez knows as much Spanish as you know Pennsylvania Dutch.)
Joe: ATL. It's Tony Gonzalez Day in the ATL!! He'll score 2 TDs and keep this one close before retiring to teach Spanish.
Final: CAR 21-20.

Green Bay at Chicago (+2.5)
Mike: GB. The Magic Man is back. No, not you Dan Majkowski. I mean Aaron Rodgers.
Joe: GB. I liked Dan Majkowski but I LOVED DON MAJKOWSKI!!!
Final: GB 33-28

Buffalo (+10.5) at New England
Mike: NE. Remember when I said I'd never pick Buffalo ever again. It's true. I can't do it. And the Pats are playing for a bye. The Bills are playing for Rob Ford.
Joe: NE. Yeah, the Pats on their home finale feels like 38-13.
Final: NE 34-20.

Tampa Bay (+13.5) at New Orleans
Mike: NO. The Saints are still not guaranteed a playoff spot. They'll win this by 30 just to be safe.
Joe: NO. They might put up 50.
Final: NO 42-17.

Denver at Oakland (+13.5)
Mike: OAK. It's quite possible that Peyton will be benched in the 4th quarter while TPryor scrambles to make something happen.
Joe: DEN. Pryor scrambles to close the gap to 20.
Final: DEN 34-14.

San Francisco (Pick'em) at Arizona
Mike: SF. Cardinals surprised me this year but their season ends now.
Joe: ARI. The Cards win 11 games with Bruce Arians (who wasn't even interviewed by Browns after he openly said he wants the job to beat the Steelers twice a year) and still miss the playoffs.
Final: SF 23-20.

Kansas City (+9.5) at San Diego
Mike: SD. The Chiefs are locked in as a wildcard with nothing to gain or lose.
Joe: SD. This hurts both the Steelers and Ravens so I'm for it.
Final: SD 27-24.

St Louis (+11.5) at Seattle
Mike: SEA. Seven of Seattle's 12 wins have been by 12 pts or more. That persuades me.
Joe: STL. Your Defensive Player of the Year is from.... ST LOUIS, DE ROBERT QUINN.
Final: SEA 27-9.

Philadelphia at Dallas (+7.5)
Mike: PHI. As Roy Hibbert famously said, "No Romo."
Joe: PHI. You have no idea who Roy Hibbert is.
Final: Philadelphia 24-22. Kyle Orton is No Romo.

Week 17 Results
Joe: 9-7
Mike: 10-6
