Week 4 Picks

It's a Bye week for the Brownies which means it's a perfect time to get outside on Sunday afternoon. Or, you can be a social activist and protest the NFL this week.

Thursday Night Football:
NYG @ WAS (-3.5)
Mike: WAS. Not only will the Washington Native Team knock off the New York Very Large Team, they will do so by a very large margin.
Joe: WAS.
FINAL: NYG 45-14. Terrible, horrible, no-good day for Captain Kirk Cousins. On a good note, I picked up and started Larry Donnell on both my fantasy teams.

Sunday Football
MIA (-4.5) @ OAK
Mike: OAK. The Raiders hung in there against the Patriots. I think they upset the Dolphins. Tannehill hasn't been so hot (unlike the Mrs.) and their RBs are banged up.
Joe: MIA. Can you name 5 Raiders? (Can't name 5 Dolphins either)
FINAL: Miami 38-14. Why would the people of England ever want an NFL team when they keep seeing this crap?!?

GB (-1.5) @ CHI
Mike: CHI. Two good quarterback with good offenses. I think the Bears are a hair better.
Joe: GB. During my research this morning, I realized the Packers have faced 3 of the leagues toughest defenses in their 3 games. The Bears are not elite and should help provide a breakout game for Lacy and Rodgers.
FINAL: Green Bay 38-17. The Bears are a hair worse than Mike thought. 4 TDs for Rodgers could count as a break out game.

BUF @ HOU (-3.5)
Mike: BUF. I'm falling right into Buffalo's trap.
Joe: HOU. EJ Manuel on the road, I'll give the points.
FINAL: Houston 23-17. Kyle Orton is your new Buffalo QB.

TEN @ IND (-7.5)
Mike: IND. Another blowout. Colts by 25.
Joe: IND. Maybe not by 25 but definitely double figures.
FINAL: Indy 41-17. OK, 24 points... and Luck is the MVP so far even against crap teams.

CAR @ BAL (-3.5)
Mike: CAR. The Panthers, with a healing Cam Newton, hammer the Ravens for their worst home loss in five years.
Joe: CAR. I can't see that happening, but damn I'm agreeing because that would be awesome.
FINAL: Baltimore 38-10. If only I didn't pick games with emotion. With no Browns game this week, my choices were this and the Pittsburgh game. Can you guess which one made me cheer??

DET (-1.5) @ NYJ
Mike: DET. The Jets had a win taken away from them by the officials last Monday Night. This one won't be close enough to blame the refs. It'll be Geno's fault.
Joe: NYJ. I hate this pick so much. I have no idea how they'll do it but it involves not having Mark Sanchez on their team.
FINAL: Detroit 24-17. Still no idea why this line was so close? Should have been 4-5 and the Jets still would have been wrong. And maybe Detroit is good.

TB @ PIT (-7.5)
Mike: PIT. I wish the Browns had Tampa's first round draft pick. It'll be a top five pick.
Joe: TB. My hatred for the one team outweighs my knowledge of how bad the other team has been this season.
FINAL: Tampa Bay 27-24. This made my Sunday. Turned it off before the Steelers' Brownsesque final drive only to have Christmas come early in the form of Mike Glennon.

JAX (-14.5) @ SD
Mike: JAX. Blake Bortles is in the house.
Joe: JAX. Too many points.
FINAL: San Diego 33-14. These picks looked awesome with the Jags up 14-3.

PHI @ SF (-5.5)
Mike: PHI. Fly, Eagle, Fly. Not only did I own this on cassette, Darian Troyer and I drove to Illinois one weekend to see their show. Wow. I'm retroactively embarrassed.
Joe: PHI. What does Vegas know that we don't know with this match up? We'll learn a lot about both of these teams by the end of the day.
FINAL: San Francisco 26-21. The Eagles didn't score an offensive point. Shouldn't their terrible performance be more of a story?

ATL (-2.5) @ MIN
Mike: ATL. Speaking of top five picks, the Vikings choice will be right up there.
Joe: ATL. Teddy B will keep it closer than my brother thinks but Atlanta pulls away in the fourth.
FINAL: Minnesota 41-28. Our afternoon picks did not go well.

NO (-3.5) @ DAL
Mike: DAL. I don't see the Saints blowing out anybody this year. Their reign is over.
Joe: DAL. If I'm Dallas, I'd watch the Browns tape v the Saints. Triple team Jimmy Graham every play and run DeMarco Murray 40+ times will equal a win for the Boys.
FINAL: Dallas 38-17. Murray is on pace for 50000 yards this year (roughly)

Monday Night Football
NE (-3.5) @ KC
Mike: KC. New England continues to win with smoke and mirrors.
Joe: NE. Speaking of Kansas and New England, Charlie Weis just got fired again this time by the University of Kansas. He will get $7 million for this buyout after roughly $19 million from Notre Dame to not be their coach anymore. Ah, to get $25 mil to not work. #anothersuccessfulbelichickdisciple
FINAL: Kansas City 41-14. This escalated quickly.

Week 4 Results
Joe: 6-7
Mike: 4-9
